MCRS is looking ahead to next summer (2024). We need a team of volunteers to coordinate and run the Bunny Basics course at the Animal Humane Society Day Camps. The day camps are weekdays and located at Animal Humane Society locations across the metro. The camps serve youth under age 18. There are several camps left this summer where a new volunteer could experience the event. You don't need training. Just a love of rabbits and children.

It is a similar presentation to MCRS Bunny Basics, but includes a lot of camper involvement. MCRS does a total of 15 camps per summer for 3rd and 4th graders: 8 at Golden Valley, 3 at Woodbury, and 4 at Coon Rapids. The program is 1.5-2 hours long, and between 15-22 campers attend each one. This is an incredibly valuable program and a fun highlight for everyone.

Children age 3 and above are welcome. Not every volunteer needs to be at every camp; a large group of volunteers can share the dates. Ideally, we have 5 volunteers at Golden Valley and 4 at Coon Rapids and Woodbury. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own rabbits.
